Researchers from the Faculty of Medicine of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, conducted a comprehensive survey of 8745 women.

According to the results published in the Journal of the American Geriatric Society, the excessive accumulation of fat around the hips could adversely affect memory and cognitive abilities of older women. It is thus having fat around the buttocks around the hips.

The Journal of the American Geriatrics Society says it is down to a point in the memory capacity of women say pear for every increase of one point of their body mass index (BMI).
