Mobile phones and cancer study: no link found
International epidemiological study has grouped 13 countries, which used the same protocol to investigate the possible link between certain tumors and mobile phone usage.
While it is difficult to demonstrate an increased risk of cancer associated with the use of mobile phones, we can not conclude that there is no risk. The initial findings seemed to indicate even a significantly increased risk for certain cancers.
This study looked specifically for cases of brain tumors and each person concerned has been offered to answer a questionnaire on his use of mobile phones.
The researchers have considered some 2,600 glioma, meningioma, 2300, 1,100 acoustic neuromas, 400 tumors of the parotid gland.
