Electromagnetic waves are good for business?
The phobia of electromagnetic waves propagated by the base stations, mobile phones, Wi-Fi or the microwave ovens, has created a boom on the market.
A quick visit to the Internet in a few clicks discovers an incredible amount of devices and products designed to detect "the Electropollution" or "e-smog" and to protect from it.
Thus, a large cosmetic brands tout their anti-air spray designed to protect the skin from accelerated aging. Others offer for ten euros a patch to stick on a mobile phone to drive the noxious waves away.
There is also a cap protecting from "reinforced" electromagnetic waves which has at least the advantage of guarding against the sunshine (UV rays are themselves carcinogenic, besides). It will cost you nearly €60. And what about the wallpapers, window coverings and even anti-wave sheets also sold for high prices? Not to forget the famous "magnetic oscillators" and the detectors of the power of "dirty" or "broadband fields (up to 695 Euros!).
Of course the effectiveness of these products is unproven. Thus, the effectiveness of anti-wave devices must be evaluated and brought to the public. It is time.
