We won 21!
According to a report released Friday by the Organization of the United Nations, the average life expectancy of men and women is increasing continuously.
In the 1950s, the average life expectancy was 47 years, today it is 68 years. This represents an increase of life expectancy of 21 years within only sixty years.
The good news is explained by several factors: in the foreground, a better quality of life with a healthy diet and balanced, more hygienic, which had the merit to fight disease.
Advances in medicine have also played an important role in extending life expectancy, especially in the prevention of serious diseases with vaccines or treatments for infectious diseases, more effective today than in 1955 .
